  1. I am a big fan of the ISOS series, my fav is #6 ibiza. In this case the guys from black hole label tried to keep the franchise alive after tiesto left the label. I think is a good commercial move, the ISOS is house hold name and Richard Durand was the second most successfull DJ in the label. Richard was kind of tiesto fav, he open several times for tiesto and created many many remixes for tiesto.

The album it self is a solid trance compilation fresh nice songs. Very good vocals and interesting beats. I will say this could be a good one. Richard did a good job trying to fill Tiestos shoes (what a challenge). The tracks are ok, little bit light and flat on CD 1. CD 2 is very good, i like the guitar intro and then it goes very solid dance music,

If you liked ISOS7 then u love this one.

  2. Richard Durand is one of my favorite Trance artists.

Searching for sunrise” is much more enjoyable with his nice mixes!

    ((( Excellent Work )))

Waiting for his next Artist album.

  3. It looks worse and worse for Tiesto as he releases an artist album that, while a commercial success, is a critical failure, and now his ISOS series has been hijacked by Richard Durand, who managed to do what Tiesto hadn’t done with the franchise in years: put out a proper mix. Sure, when Tiesto was in charge, we got to hear these Cary Brothers singles and other creations, but those weren’t mixes, those were just a disorganized collection of random tunes.

I can’t stop listening to this. Richard Durand has really created a thing of beauty, here — some kind of progressive house/trance hybrid, at low bpm, with lots of uplifting melodies. BT’s The Emergency is one of my favorite tracks; I’ve been looking for a club mix for months, Durand just mixes it in, three-minute intro and all.

This compilation is the best thing to happen to me in a while. I hope you enjoy it as much as I am.

  4. Completely out of ISOS style. I have been listening to ISOS7,6,5. they were the best compilations ever. Why did Tiesto let this happen???

  5. Pleasant surprise! Richard Durand fills Tiesto’s shoes nicely. ISOS8 is everything a summer trance compilation should be. I look forward to hearing more of his recordings.

The top Trance DJ’s are Above and Beyond in 2010. Pick up this album for variety.
